Attention Ted Lasso fans — Season 4 is happening. Maybe. Thanks to fan rallying, popular demand, and the show’s thirteen-Emmy success, the beloved comedy might be given a second life by Warner Bros. Television.

Familiar faces will be making a comeback. Rebecca Walton (Hannah Waddingham), Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein), and Leslie Higgins (Jeremy Swift), are reportedly secured in the event of a greenlight. The studio is working to re-sign other cast members, and we have it on good authority that Ted Lasso himself (Jason Sudeikis) might be making an appearance. While fans have a good chance of welcoming back Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt), things aren’t looking as good for Jamie Tartt (Phil Dunster) due to scheduling conflicts.

But before you lace up your cleats, know that there’s still a lot up in the air. The studio hopes for an early 2025 start on production, but the writers room is still under construction. And as always with Ted Lasso, the show’s fate rests on the shoulders of its titular star. Sudeikis, who originally created the character for NBC Sports, has the last say on whether or not production will move forward.
