Pro-Gaza activists arrested: Authorities arrested 10 activists who took part in a 200-person pro-Gaza protest outside the building of the Journalist Syndicate in Cairo last Wednesday, the AssociatedPress reports. The activists are currently being held in pretrial detention, while being investigated — they are being charged of spreading false information and joining a terrorist group.

MEANWHILE- Nine Egyptians put on trial in Greece: Nine Egyptian men are set to face trial in Greece next month — they are being charged with migrant smuggling, participating in a criminal organization, and causing an accident which killed hundreds, Reuters reported. The nine men have been in pretrial detention since June after having been accused of people smuggling while on a migrant boat that sank off Greece last year, which was on its way from Italy from Libya.
