The global press are still focused on the GERD

The GERD is leading the conversation on Egypt in the foreign press this morning, after Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said Sunday that the country had completed the fourth and final phase of filling the reservoir. Egypt condemned the move and accused Ethiopia of breaching international law. This comes a week after Cairo hosted the first round of GERD talks with Ethiopia and Sudan in more than two years, a negotiating process which was recently rebooted after Egypt and Ethiopia’s leaders agreed to finalize an agreement by October.
