Israel launches biggest attack in the West Bank in 20 years

Israeli forces mount largest incursion into West Bank in almost two decades: At least eight Palestinians were killed and more than 80 others injured in the city of Jenin yesterday, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry, as Israeli forces carried out the largest military operation in the West Bank in nearly 20 years. Israel deployed drones and hundreds of foot soldiers in the attack on the Jenin refugee camp, the latest in a series of violent escalations in the area. The Egyptian Foreign Ministry condemned the attacks in a statement, warning of the dangers of escalating Israeli violence and calling on international bodies to intervene.

AND- Indebted Pakistan has reached a staff-level agreement with the IMF for a USD 3 bn bailout loan, the Fund said in a statement. The agreement is still pending the approval of the IMF’s Executive Board, which is expected to consider it by mid-July.
