Amazon Payment Services has landed a contract to provide payment services for an Egyptian mobile network operator, with Banque Misr as the online payments acquirer, according to a press release (pdf). The agreement will see Amazon Payment Services process bills, subscription payments, and device purchases for the telecoms provider as well as offer installment payments to its customers through 10 Egyptian banks including Banque Misr.

REFRESHER- Amazon in 2020 rebranded Payfort to Amazon Payments Services after acquiring the UAE fintech startup as part of its 2017 acquisition of Souq.
