There was little of note on the airwaves last night: The agreement to move ahead with the USD 1.8 bn Egypt-Saudi electricity interconnection project was among the highlights. Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker phoned in on Al Hayah Al Youm to comment on the linkup, for which contracts were handed to a consortium of Orascom Construction and Japan’s Hitachi yesterday (watch, runtime: 4:14 and runtime: 5:43).
