Egypt’s FX reserves held steady at USD 40.3 bn in April, according to Central Bankof Egypt figures. Foreign reserves had risen by USD 140 mn in March after shooting up almost USD 800 mn in December 2020 to their highest level since last April, following a drop during the height of the covid-19 pandemic from their February 2020 peak.
