Exiled Egyptian LGBT activist Sarah Hegazy has died in Canada. Hegazy, one of 57 people arrested for raising a rainbow flag at a Mashrou Leila concert in Cairo in 2017, committed suicide in exile. She later served three months in prison before relocating to Canada, where she had been granted asylum.
