The Interior Ministry has denied allegations that US-Egyptian citizen Mostafa Kassem who diedthis week in Egyptian custody was mistreated. Authorities advised Kassem that his hunger strike would harm his health and that legal and medical measures were taken to prevent his death, the ministry said.
