Visitors gather to celebrate Abu Simbel’s Sun Festival

2,000 visitors gathered yesterday to celebrate the bi-annual Sun Festival, during which rays of sunlight hit the seated statues of King Ramses II, Queen Nefertari, and god Amun Re at Luxor’s Abu Simbel temple, Ahram Online reports.
