Paraguayan poultry is heading to UAE shelves, with beef set to follow, as trade ties between the two countries begin translating into new food imports alongside broader cooperation on investment and infrastructure, Al Bayan reports, citing comments made by Paraguayan President Santiago Peña during the UAE-Paraguay Business Forum in Asunción.

The move comes as the UAE has increasingly been looking to diversify and shore up its food supply chain after the regional war exposed the risks associated with heavy import dependency.
