Signing off MENA-India, one last time

Good morning, friends, and welcome to what is our final MENA-India edition. After over a year of Monday, Wednesday, Friday coverage of the corridor between India and the Gulf, the standalone MENA-India newsletter you’re reading now ends today, but that doesn’t mean the corridor beat is disappearing.

We started this edition because there was a story nobody was telling in one place. The relationship between India and the Gulf was covered from two ends — Indian outlets writing about the Gulf as a source of energy and remittances, and Gulf outlets writing about India as a market and a diaspora. Nobody was writing about the corridor as a single, integrated economic architecture. Over the past year, and especially the past five months of war, that architecture has become impossible to ignore.

Below this note is our final feature: boiling down the last five months of MENA-India reporting into one argument. We’ve documented bilateral pacts, physical rewiring, Gulf realignment, production geography, and multilateral diplomacy that is now structural.

The corridor story will continue elsewhere in our portfolio. MENA+, our thrice-weekly regional edition, will absorb the cross-border and corridor-scale coverage.
