Yatra Online makes Middle East debut via Kanoo Travel agreement

India-based digital travel booking platform Yatra Online signed a seven-year agreement to provide its enterprise travel and expense-management technology to Bahrain-based Kanoo Travel, according to a stock exchange filing (pdf). The agreement is being executed through Yatra Middle East, a wholly owned subsidiary of Yatra Online.

What it covers: Kanoo Travel will deploy Yatra’s platform for corporate travel users in the Middle East, covering travel booking, policy management, expense management, automation, and analytics. Yatra will also set up a Kanoo Travel Global Operations center to provide 24/7 multilingual support for Kanoo Travel’s regional teams.

Why it matters: The agreement gives Yatra a corporate travel-tech route into the Middle East through Kanoo Travel’s regional network. Yatra’s enterprise platform supports more than 1.3k large and mid-sized enterprises in India, while Kanoo Travel has over 100 offices across markets in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the UAE, Oman, and Egypt.
