India’s Jagdamba opens first int’l factory in Sharjah: India’s heavy equipment manufacturer Jagdamba Global Equipment Solutions has inked an MoU with the Hamriyah Freezone Authority (HFZA) to set up a 644k sq ft factory with an initial investment up to AED 35 mn, according to a press release. Jagdamda chose HFZA as a strategic regional location to support the company’s import and export operations, Director of Jagdamba Trailers India Gyan Singh Kshatriya said in the statement.
About Jagdamba: Jagdamba Global Equipment Solutions is a promoter of Jagdamba Trailers, a leading manufacturer and supplier of trailers, semi-trailers, steel-structures, and oil pipelines. The firm has produced over 2,5k trailers with a total output of over 6k units. The company’s client base includes construction companies, transportation firms, railways, and oil and gas firms, the statement notes.
Recent HFZA projects: Singaporean oil and gas manufacturer Petrozo Energy revealed plans back in February to establish a 430 sq-ft plant in HFZA with an AED 120 mn investment. Amazon UAE inked a lease agreement last October with HFZA to set up a new logistics center in the freezone in Sharjah to boost delivery services for customers in the northern emirates.
