Sita + Heathrow extend IT infrastructure contract: Heathrow Airport, which is backed by Saudi sovereign wealth fund the Public Investment Fund (PIF), inked a five-year extension agreement with global IT provider Sita to bolster the airport’s digital infrastructure, according to a press release. The agreement between the two parties is their longest contract extension to date. Sita has been providing services for Heathrow since 2011.

The details: The contract looks to provide a wide range of telecommunications and connectivity services to Heathrow, including supporting several network access switches, wireless access points, and internet phone lines. Sita’s on-site team will also roll out new projects in cyber-security, radio, and operational technology, including supporting Heathrow’s internal customers, B2B commercial customers, and the airport’s wider supply chain.

ICYMI- The PIF and Paris-based equity firm Ardian acquired a 37.6% stake in Heathrow Airport back in June for GBP 3.3 bn.
