Egypt’s Mylerz has inked a long-term management and operation contract with JordanPost Company to manage and operate sorting and distribution services, Mylerz CEO and Founder Samer Gharaibeh told Enterprise Logistics. The arrangement will see Mylerz share its in-house technologies to boost delivery services in Jordan and will handle some 1 mn sorting and distribution transactions a year, Gharaibeh said. No investment ticket was disclosed.

Details: The agreement will see Mylerz offer its in-house developed and AI-supported technologies including route optimization and machine learning to boost the use of delivery equipment, Gharaibeh said. The move will optimize delivery cost, reduce carbon footprint, and offer faster deliveries within Jordan, including same day deliveries, Gharabieh added. The upgrades will also allow Jordan Post clients to track items in real-time.

Part of an expansion plan: In addition to Jordan, Mylerz currently operates in Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, and Libya, with plans to expand into East and West Africa, Gharaibeh said. The outfit has so far delivered upwards of 10 mn packages.
