Qatari Transport Minister discusses boosting transport ties with regional counterparts at Middle East Rail

Qatari Transport Minister Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti discussed developing transportation ties in meetings with officials from across the MENA region during the Middle East Rail conference in Abu Dhabi on Monday. Al Sulaiti met with:

• IranianTransport Minister Mehrdad Bazrphash, with whom he discussed cooperating on transport, maritime navigation, commercial ports, air transport and civil aviation;
• OmaniTransport Minister Saeed bin Hamoud Al Maawali and UAEEnergy and Infrastructure Minister Suhail Al Mazrouei, both of whom discussed ways to boost cooperation on sustainabletransport;
• TunisianTransport MinisterRabie Majidi, with whom he discussed boosting cooperation on transportation, civil aviation, and ports;
• EgyptianTransport Minister Kamel Al Wazir, with whom he discussed enhancing cooperation on ports and sustainable transport. The two sides agreed to kick off feasibility studies for cooperation on ports;
• And IraqiTransport MinisterRazzaq Al Saadawi, with whom he discussed boostingmaritime transportation, ports and civil aviation.
