AD Ports Group + Masdar ink MoU on green hydrogen production + export terminals: The UAE’s AD Ports Group and Abu Dhabi energy company Masdar have signed an MoU to explore the development of a green hydrogen production hub — along with export terminals for green hydrogen — in Khalifa Economic Zone Abu Dhabi (Kezad), according to a statement. The production hub would serve the UAE’s domestic and export markets.

The UAE has big hydrogen production targets: The agreement complements the UAE’s National Hydrogen Strategy, which targets scaling up local hydrogen production to 1.4 mn tons per annum by 2031 as well as Masdar’s aim to increase its global green hydrogen production capacity up to 1 mn tonnes a year by 2030.
