Azerbaijan + Morocco look to deepen their collaboration:Azerbaijan’s Small and Medium Business Development Agency, Export and Investment Promotion Agency, Baku International Trade Port have signed five MoUs with their Moroccan counterparts, in a bid to boost cooperation and trade, Azertac State News Agency reports. The MoUs include one aiming to establish a logistics framework agreement that can help the countries boost cooperation in the sector by developing logistics centers to facilitate trade flows, as well as training institutes and encouraging the exchange of expertise in the field, Agence Marocaine De Presse (MAP) reported separately.

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Affairs Minister Jeyhun Bayrmov also invited Moroccan investors and companies to consider investing in Azerbaijan’s Alat Freezone during the First Azerbaijan-Morocco Business Forum, the news agency added.

Egypt meets with African counterparts to discuss AfCFTA implementation + boosting trade:Egypt’s Trade and Industry Minister Ahmed Samir met with his counterparts from Kenya, Ivory Coast, and Rwanda at the Intra-Trade African Fair to discuss enhancing economic cooperation, according to a statement. The meetings with Kenyan Trade Minister Rebecca Miaono and Rwandan Trade Minister Jean Chrysostomie focused on the implementation of the African Continental Freetrade Agreement and enhancing bilateral trade, while the discussion with Ivorian minister Souleymane Diarrassouba saw them discuss boosting trade ties, including increasing imports of Ivorian products, according to the statement. Samir also discussed with the Commissioner for Trade and Industry of the African Union Commission for AfCFTA ways to implement the agreement.
