Orange Jordan to set up 5G network at Aqaba Container Terminal: Orange Jordan and Aqaba Container Terminal (ACT) inked an agreement to create a private mobile network for ACT using 5G technology, according to a press release. The agreement makes Orange Jordan the first in the Orange Group in the Middle East and Africa to offer 5G network business solutions, after they launched 5G services in the country in July.

SOUND SMART- Orange Jordan’s 5G network business solutions offer faster and more reliable internet connectivity to businesses and individuals, as well as cybersecurity solutions, Orange Jordan CEO Philippe Mansour said in an interview last month.

What does this mean for ACT? The adoption of 5G in ACT means better service in the industrial area, stimulating innovation and bringing in more investments that can boost the local economy, as per the press release. “This forward-thinking initiative not only enhances our operational efficiency but also strengthens Aqaba’s digital infrastructure,” said ACT CEO Harald Nijhof.
