Sanad expands maintenance, repair and overhaul services to new aircraft engines: Global aerospace engineering firm and Mubadala subsidiary Sanad signed an agreement with engine manufacturerSafran Aircraft Engines and jet engines provider GEO Aerospace to broaden its maintenance, repair and overhaul services offerings to engines that power Airbus A320neo family and Boeing 737 MAX family aircraft,WAMreports. The engines will improve its environmental footprint by reducing CO2 emissions and enhancing fuel consumption. The agreement will also strengthen Sanad’s role in the global MRO supply chain, making it the first certified LEAP MRO service provider in the SAMENA region.
EgyptAir to increase biofuel use: EgyptAir plans to increase its biofuel use to 2% in 2025 and 6% by 2030, the company’s fuel and emissions director, Ahmed Mattar, told Asharq Business.
