DHL Global Forwarding and IAG Cargo ink SAF agreement: DHL Global ForwardingPartners — the air and ocean freight subsidiary of DHL — signed a contract with IAG Cargo to acquire 11.5 mn liters of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in 2023,according to a company statement. The renewable alternative — which consists of waste from food and used cooking oil — will see 80% lower lifecycle emissions than standard jet fuels. The partnership will help DHL reach its net-zero emissions by 2050 goal.
