The Jordanian-American committee met to discuss boosting trade and strengthening economic cooperation during a session on Sunday in Washington, DC, state-owned Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported. The discussions focused on cooperation in trade, agriculture, food security, and labor.The committee also agreed to form a subcommittee to focus on boosting bilateral trade and resolving challenges to trade exchange, Petra reported.

What they said: Jordan is eager to strengthen its commercial and economic connections with the US as well as attract foreign added-value investments to the national economy, Secretary General of Jordan’s Industry, Trade, and Supply Ministry Dana Zoubi said, according to the news outlet.
