ADNOC Logistics & Services (ADNOC L&S) has successfully berthed an LNG carrier at the AG&P Philippines LNG (PHLNG) Import Terminal in Batangas Bay, according to a press release. The LNG carrier, Ish, is now being commissioned as a Floating Storage Unit (FSU) at the new terminal which is the first of its kind in the Philippines. The vessel has a supply of 137.5k cubic meters and was repurposed as an FSU over a five-month period by AG&P subsidiary GasEntec, the statement added.

The FSU will be supplied, maintained, and operated by ADNOC L&S. The LNG carrier was chartered out to AG&P under an 11-year agreement, with an option for a four-year extension, the statement said. The new arrangement will supplement ADNOC L&S’ FSU revenues and extend the operational life of the repurposed vessel. Moreover, it will also bolster the resilience of PHLNG's LNG supply. The project also builds upon a long-term charter agreement between ADNOC L&S and AG&P which saw a similar arrangement in India.
