Bahri launches a new bonded zone at Jeddah Islamic Port

Bahri opens a bonded logistics zone in Jeddah: The Saudi shipping firm launched Bahri Bonded Zone at Jeddah Islamic Port, its first of its kind, in partnership with Mawani and Zatca, according to a post on LinkedIn. The 95k sqm facility can store more than 80k pallets and handle over 1 mn pallets annually, with 34 loading bays and ambient, chilled, and frozen storage. Solar panels supply around 20% of its power needs.

Long time coming: Bahri broke ground on the facility in February 2024, originally targeting a 1H 2025 opening, with early plans spanning bonded storage, container maintenance, repair, and cleaning and haulage services.
