Egypt and Serbia inked several MoUs to boost economic cooperation between the two countries, according to a statement released on Saturday. The two countries signed a freetrade agreement (FTA) to strengthen bilateral trade and signed 10 agreements across several sectors, including investment, agriculture, tourism, communications, and information technology.
Background: Egypt and Serbia have been working on this FTA for two years, first brought up during President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s visit to Serbia in 2022.

Kyrgyzstan to invest in Iranian ports: Iran inked an MoU with the National Investments Authority of Kyrgyzstan for the latter to invest in developing its southern ports, including in establishing joint logistics centers within the ports, Mehr reported on Saturday. No investment ticket or timeline have been revealed.
