Irish-American multinational company Eaton has inked an agreement with UAE’s Jebel Ali Freezone (Jafza) to build a 500k sqft sustainable manufacturing campus, Wam reports. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2025 and targets a 2026 completion date.

What we know: The campus will house an R&D facility focused on sustainable manufacturing, power management, machine learning, and AI, with the aim of expanding Eaton's research, engineering, and manufacturing capacity.

Jafza is picking up steam: RSA Cold Chain began construction on its flagship 40k pallet cold storage facility in the freezone in May which is slated for completion in 1Q 2025. Transworld signed off on a 50k sqm logistics center last December also targeting a 2025 completion date.
