Egypt + Sierra Leone discuss potential operation of cargo flights: Egyptian Civil Aviation Minister Mohamed Abbas Helmi met with Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Egypt Sadiq Silla to explore the two countries' cooperation in aviation, according to a ministry statement. The pair agreed to look into revising their existing MoU to include operating cargo flights between the two countries. Both parties stressed the importance of further expanding relations, in a bid to enhance and develop intra-African cooperation and trade.

Iran + Russia eye stronger customs ties: Russia’s Director of the Federal Customs Service Ruslan Davydov met with the Deputy Head of the Iran Customs Administration for Customs Affairs Foroud Asgari to discuss strengthening bilateral trade cooperation, state-owned Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reports. Asgari proposed the two countries create a joint working group to review barriers to trade and customs processes, as well as providing special facilities to customs beneficiaries, IRNA said.
