AD Ports Group’s logistics arm Noatum has divested its 27.9% stake in Barcelona Container Depot Service Group (BCDS), according to a press release. The divestment yielded an equity value of EUR 11 mn and resulted in a one-off capital gain of EUR 10 mn, AD Ports says.

The rationale: The divestment is part of a drive by AD Ports Group to closely manage its ownership portfolio and “monetize non-core participations and investments for which there is no path for majority ownership and/or operational control,” the statement said.

This comes a day after Noatum revealed plans to buy a Spanish logistics firm: Noatum plans to acquire Madrid-based finished vehicles logistics outfit Sesé Auto Logistics for EUR 81 mn by 1Q 2024.

About BCDS: The company specializes in the storage, maintenance, repair, and cleaning services of Dry and Reefer containers as well as ISO Tanks, the release states. BCDS maintains a main hub in Barcelona and operates across six different locations in Spain.

Background: AD Ports Group closed its 100% acquisition of Noatum after receiving the regulatory greenlight from Spanish authorities in July.
