UAE + Philippines work towards boosting trade : The UAE’s Minister of Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi and a delegation from the Philippines discussed avenues for trade and investment, Emirati news agency Wam reports. The officials discussed recent updates in the comprehensive economic partnership agreement (CEPA) between the two countries, which aims to increase investment flows, facilitate intra-trade movement, and boost business activity between the countries. They also discussed developing joint projects in energy, artificial intelligence, transportation, and logistics, in addition to financial and banking services.

Austrian embassy set to reopen in Iraq: Foreign Minister of Austria Alexander Schallenberg announced the reopening of the Austrian embassy in Baghdad during a joint press conference with Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, according to the Iraqi News Agency. Hussein and Schallenberg reportedly also discussed resuming flights from Austrian Airlines to Iraq, according to INA. The airline had suspended its flights to Iraq since 2020, when several airlines began to avoid Iraqi and Iranian airspace in light of escalating tensions between the US and Iran.
