Netskope expands in UAE, KSA with four new data centers + China’s Huawei launches cloud data center in Riyadh

Global cybersecurity firm establishes four data centers d in UAE + KSA: Cybersecurity firm Netskope has expanded in the Middle East with four data centers across Saudi Arabia and the UAE, according to a press release. The data centers will boost data storage capacity and coverage in the region to serve its customers, the statement added. The details of how much the company invested into the centers were not disclosed.

Details: The NewEdge data centers will promote a zero trust security model for Middle Eastern companies, and will enable delivery of “real-time inline and out-of-band API-driven services,” like firewalls, security gateways and cloud management services, the statement said.

China’s Huawei Technologies has launched the Huawei Cloud Riyadh Region cloud data center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, according to a press release. The facility will harness a number of technologies including the Pangu 3.0 model that addresses AI adoption challenges, which leverages industry insights to enhance AI capabilities across finance, government, manufacturing, the statement explains.

The company will train some 500k developers in KSA within the next five years, build joint solutions with 1k local partners, and launch the Huawei cloud entrepreneurship program to help 2k startups, the release adds. The launch is part of the company's plans to invest heavily in cloud infrastructure in KSA.
