AD Ports may soon operate + develop grain terminal at Sarzha Port: AD Ports Group has inked a heads of terms agreement with Kazakh company Semurg Invest to potentially invest in Kazakh grain terminal Sarzha Multifunctional Marine Terminal in Kuryk Port, according to a press release. The two companies will form a JV to invest in, operate, and develop Sarzha terminal into a multipurpose terminal.
Background: The head of terms agreement follows the inking of an MoU back in January for cooperation with the Kazakh Industry, Infrastructural Development Ministry to cooperate in the development of a marine fleet and coastal infrastructure in the Caspian and Black sea.
About Semurg Invest: The company was established to develop and implement infrastructure projects in Kazakhstan, according to the company website. It owns and currently develops Sarzha Multifunctional Marine Terminal in Kuryk, according to its website.
