DP World receives sustainability + port company of the year award: The UAE’s DP World was awarded the Sustainability Company of the Year and the Port Company of the Year award at logistics event Multimodal, marking the second time in three years it has received the award, according to a press release. The sustainability award was awarded for DP World’s 55% reduction in their carbon emissions from their fleet, and investments into electric equipment, including the GBP 12 mn electric fleet of straddle carriers at its London Gateway. The company is aiming to achieve net zero emissions by 2050, and aims to become the UK’s “most sustainable logistics business,” UK DP World CEO Ernst Schulze said.

Agility Logistics Parks Ghana has bagged the Best Business in Warehousing Services for 2023 from The Business Executive Ghana, according to a company statement.

The logistics park — located in Tema freezone — is a 165k sqm facility that offers space for storage, assembly and processing for multinationals and local Ghanaian and international companies. It features bonded warehousing and open yards, as well as a laydown space and warehousing for oil, gas, and mining companies.

Hamad International Airport was awarded the Most Innovative Airport Initiative Awardfor its digital twin platform at the Future Travel Experience Innovate Awards in Dublin, according to a press release. Developed in collaboration with IT provider SITA, the platform uses AI to simplify data analysis and enhance informed decision-making in airport management. The platform offers insights and recommendations to optimize operations and manage aircraft stand conflicts.
