Saudi Arabia’s Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) has selected France’sEgis for two projects related to the development of AlUla International Airport, according to a press release. The projects include the expansion of an existing hangar to accommodate essential storage, maintenance, and operations space and the development of a new private aircraft terminal known as a Fixed Based Operator (FBO).
The details: Egis’ scope will include architectural design and engineering, infrastructure and landscaping design, airside design, airfield geometry and master planning, gradings, airfield lighting, markings, and signage. The company will also offer several support services such as airport operation support as well as support services for construction and turnover.
REFRESHER: RCU and Egis collaborated last November on the 3k sqm private aircraft hangar in Al Ula International Airport. Egis has also been providing RCU with environmental and consulting work.
