Abu Dhabi’s Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) has launched a new maritime safety app, dubbed Al Nalia, according to an official statement. The app was developed by AD Ports Group’s digital arm Maqta Gateway, and its Abu Dhabi-focused subsidiary, Abu Dhabi Maritime.

The details: The app provides maritime firms with access to Abu Dhabi’s maritime safety maps — which lay down the zoning speed limits and mark the restricted areas, permitted activities, and provide other instructions to waterways users and must be adhered to. It also provides information on speed limits, designated mooring and anchoring areas, commercial transit lanes and connectivity routes, as well as other data, and allows users to search for the nearest marine facilities such as marinas, slipways and marine fuel stations.

The app is available to download on Apple’s App Store and Google Play.
