Seres’ luxury EVs to hit UAE’s roads: China backed, US-based automaker Seres and car dealership Green Motors UAE have entered a partnership to introduce Seres’ luxury electric vehicles (EVs) the Seres 5 and Seres 7, according to a press release. Seres specializes in developing e-power train technologies, battery systems, and electric cars and has operations in Asia, Europe, Africa, and Latin America.

About Seres 5: The five-seater Seres 5 comes in two versions: All Wheel Drive (AWD) and Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD). The AWD model has a range of 1.13k kms, can go from 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, and a 358 kW electric motor. The RWD model has a range of 1.175k kms, takes 7.1 seconds to accelerate to 100 km/h, and is equipped with an 196 kW electric motor. Both cars can charge from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes and have a battery capacity of 40 kWh. The price tag currently stands at at least AED 189k.

Seres 5 SF: The Seres SF has a two wheel (2WD) and four wheel drive (4WD) version. The 2WD has a combined driving range of 500 kms, can go from 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds, and has a 220 kW electric motor. The 4WD model has a range of 483 kms, takes 4 seconds to accelerate to 100 km/h, and is equipped with an 430 kW electric motor. Both cars can charge from 20% to 80% in less than 42 minutes and come with a battery capacity of 80 kWh. The 4WD model also comes with a 90 kWh capacity. The price tag currently stands at at least AED 195k.

About Seres 7: The Seres 7 can come as a five or six-seater car, with both AWD and RWD options. The AWD has a combined driving range of 1.05k kms, can go from 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, and has a 323 kW electric motor. The RWD has a combined driving range of 1.15k kms, can go from 0-100 km/h in 7.8 seconds, and has a 196 kW electric motor. The car can charge from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes, comes with a battery capacity of 40 kWh, and has a price tag of AED 199k.
