Foreign Affairs Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan reaffir<\/strong>med the <\/strong>UAE's commitment to Syria's independence<\/strong> and sovereignty during a sit-down with Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al Shaibani, in the UAE, state news agency Wam<\/a> reports. The visit marked Al Shaibani\u2019s first trip following the toppling of former president Bashar Al Assad, and comes as part of a regional tour, which took him to Qatar and Saudi Arabia earlier and will also see him visit Jordan. <\/p>\n

The two ministers discussed ways to enhance cooperation between their countries and reviewed developments in Syria and the region<\/strong>, Al Shaibani said in a statement<\/a> posted on X.<\/p>\n
