Meanwhile, both companies will mull a potential battery energy storage system hybridization developed on the portfolio of EPGE\u2019s solar plants with up to 0.5 GW of additional capacity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>This comes on the heels of another Spanish acquisiti<\/strong><strong>on \u2014 one of many in Europe \u2014 completed <\/strong><strong>e<\/strong><strong>arlier this week: <\/strong>Masdar <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/uae\/en\/news\/story\/50b8c4b6-740d-433d-b501-ed4875e8e23e\/masdar-finalizes%253cmark%253e-saeta%253c%2Fmark%253e-acquisition\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">finalized<\/a> its acquisition of Spanish renewables firm Saeta Yield from Brookfield Renewable for EUR 1.2 bn, adding 1.6 GW renewables to Masdar\u2019s portfolio. It also <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/uae\/en\/news\/story\/3c89c77d-52cb-446c-aecf-091941e2457e\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">finalized<\/a> the acquisition of a 70% stake in Greece\u2019s Terna Energy last month. The company also <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/climate\/en\/news\/story\/a7fc2bb6-60de-457c-94a4-51cb2b9ad26d\/masdar-completes-acquisition-of-3-gw-british-offshore-wind-farm\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">closed<\/a> the acquisition of a 49% stake in the UK\u2019s 3 GW Dogger Bank south wind farm from German energy giant RWE earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\">\n<p class=\"tag-border-left\">RENEWABLES-<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Emarat and Lootah Biofuels eye SAF production: <\/strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.emarat.ae\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Emarat Petroleum<\/a> and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lootahbiofuels.com\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Lootah Biofuels<\/a> signed an MoU to conduct feasibility studies to look into building a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) manufacturing plant to serve the UAE and the wider region, according to a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zawya.com\/en\/press-release\/companies-news\/emarat-and-lootah-biofuels-sign-mou-to-enhance-cooperation-in-renewable-energy-h0yfy8z7\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a>. Over the next 12 to 18 months, we aim to double our portfolio to over AED 1 [bn] and take significant steps toward launching a commercial REIT listing in the UAE,\u201d Fabiani said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\">\n<p class=\"tag-border-left\">DEBT-<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>ADX-listed global logistics provider and Kuwait\u2019s Agility subsidiary Agility Global has<\/strong><strong> inked a USD 1.4 bn credit facility agreemen<\/strong>t with several unnamed regional and global banks, according to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ent.news\/2024\/12\/2126.pdf\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">disclosure (pdf)<\/a> on ADX. The facility consists of a EUR 1 bn tranche and a USD 370 bn tranche, and has three- and five-year maturities.
