Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman visited the UAE over the weekend, marking <\/strong>his first visit to the country in three years<\/strong>, Saudi state news agency SPA<\/a> said. During a sit-down with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the leaders discussed regional developments and the importance of Gulf cooperation, state news agency Wam<\/a> reports. <\/p>\n

On the agenda for discussions was Opec's increase of the UAE\u2019s<\/strong> oil production quota<\/a><\/strong>, which is set to begin in January 2025, sources told Reuters<\/a>. This comes ahead of an upcoming Opec+ meeting scheduled for 5 December, where the group is widely expected to delay further its plans to hike output until the end of 1Q 2025. <\/p>\n

UAE + Philippines partner on energy transition:<\/strong> The Philippines and the UAE have signed an MoU to cooperate on the energy transition, according to a press release<\/a>. The agreement outlines collaboration in renewable energy, nuclear energy, energy efficiency, and alternative fuels, among other things.<\/p>\n
