#1- Burjeel set to launch the UAE\u2019s largest fertility clinic: <\/strong>ADX-listed healthcare provider Burjeel Holdings<\/a> plans to launch the largest fertility center in the UAE, the Trust Fertility Clinic, at its flagship Burjeel Medical City, according to a press release (pdf)<\/a>. The in vitro fertilization (IVF) clinic \u2014 marking its entry into IVF \u2014 will offer egg retrieval, AI-driven embryo selection, embryo transfer, fertility assessments, intrauterine insemination (IUI), and IVF consultations, among other fertility treatment services.<\/p>\n

#2- Construction on M42\u2019s Amna Healthcare in Bahrain kicks off:<\/strong> Abu Dhabi-based tech-enabled healthcare firm M42<\/a> broke ground on the Bahraini arm of its Amna Healthcare<\/a> brand on Monday in partnership with Bahrain\u2019s sovereign wealth fund Mumtalakat Holding Company<\/a>, Wam<\/a> reports. The 100-bed facility<\/a> \u2014 scheduled to go live sometime next year \u2014 will feature a dedicated laboratory, in addition to radiology and therapy rooms.<\/p>\n

AVIATION-<\/p>\n

#1- Bhutan\u2019s Drukair to launch Dubai flights: <\/strong>Bhutan\u2019s flag carrier Drukair<\/a> will launch a new route connecting the South Asian country\u2019s capital Paro to Dubai starting 28 October, according to news reports (here<\/a> and here<\/a>). Two weekly direct flights will operate on the new route.<\/p>\n

#2- New Uzbekistan airline Air Samarkand launched a new route <\/strong>connecting Tashkent <\/strong>to Al Ain on Sunday<\/strong>, the airline told the Azerbaijani news agency Trend<\/a>. The initial phase will see the airline operate one direct flight per week every Sunday.<\/p>\n

CONSTRUCTION-<\/p>\n

#1- Alec awarded AED 1.8 bn contract by Nakheel Properties:<\/strong> Alec Engineering and Contracting<\/a> was awarded a AED 1.8 bn contract to build Nakheel Properties\u2019<\/a> new residential tower Como Residences<\/a> on Palm Jumeirah, according to a press release (pdf)<\/a>. The 75-storey tower will house 81 units and is scheduled to be completed in 2Q 2028.<\/p>\n

#2- <\/strong>Bright Accord General Contracting<\/a><\/strong> was awarded a AED 400 mn contr<\/strong>act by <\/strong>Jubail<\/a><\/strong>Island Investment Company (JIIC)<\/a><\/strong> to build the commercial hub of the Jubail Island, Jubail Town Centre, Wam<\/a> reports. The development will feature four office buildings and two residential buildings. Construction is scheduled to kick off before the end of this month and the project is expected to be completed by 3Q 2026.<\/p>\n

UK <\/strong>Santander Private Banking<\/a><\/strong> opened its regional headquarters in the <\/strong>Dubai <\/strong>International Financial Centre (DIFC)<\/strong>, which will focus on the needs of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals in the Middle East, according to a press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Abu Dhabi-based private equity firm <\/strong>Gulf Capital<\/a><\/strong> joined the<\/strong> Abu Dhabi<\/a><\/strong>Sustainable Finance Declaration<\/a><\/strong> to facilitate the integration of sustainability into its finance and investment operations, according to its press release (pdf)<\/a>. The Abu Dhabi Global Market-led initiative brings together investors, financial institutions, and government bodies, among other stakeholders, to promote sustainable practices in the finance industry<\/p>\n
