Pearl Petroleum files for a<\/strong>rbitration against Khor Mor EPC contractor: <\/strong>Pearl<\/a>Petroleum<\/a>, a consortium majority-owned by Dana Gas<\/a> and Crescent Petroleum<\/a>, initiated arbitration proceedings against Enerflex<\/a>, the EPC contractor for the Khor Mor gas expansion project in Iraq, seeking to \u201crecover costs and damages arising from Enerflex\u2019s defective performance,\u201d according to an ADX filing (pdf)<\/a> by Dana Gas.<\/p>\n

We knew this was coming: <\/strong>Pearl said it may seek damages from Enerflex last month<\/a>, after terminating Enerflex\u2019s EPC contract and assuming direct control of the project, effective 9 September. Pearl cited performance issues on Enerflex\u2019s part as the reason for its decision, claiming that the Canadian energy infrastructure supplier failed to \u201cmeet its contractual obligations, leading to unacceptable delays\u201d and affecting the project\u2019s progress.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s next? <\/strong>Dana Gas said it is working with its Pearl Petroleum partners to bring the project back on track, with updates on the new expected completion date expected in \u201cdue course,\u201d the statement reads.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
