The company was granted due diligence and allowed to engage with Wood in June, after Wood had turned down its three previous bids. The port had exported below its capacity last year due to competition from Vale SA\u2019s export facilities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"tag-border-left\"> PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS- <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Twelve new economic activities are now eligible for the Tajer Abu Dhabi License <\/strong>from the Abu Dhabi Business Centre at the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, without requiring a physical location or rent payments to obtain the permit, according to a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaoffice.abudhabi\/en\/economy\/abu-dhabi-department-of-economic-development-adds-12-new-activities-to-tajer-abu-dhabi-licence\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a>. The added activities include maritime consultancy services, tourism and recreation consultancy, logistics consultancy, network consultancies, textiles and apparel printing, and design and artwork services.<\/p>\n<p class=\"tag-border-left\"> DATA POINTS- <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>DIFC companies surpass 6k: <\/strong>The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) welcomed 820 new companies in 1H 2024, up 24% y-o-y to 6.2k, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/wam.ae\/en\/article\/b4f7ndm-difc-continues-drive-future-finance-with\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Wam<\/a> reports.
