The <\/strong>Financial Action Task Force (FATF)<\/a><\/strong>, the global watchdog for anti-money laundering and terrorism financing, appointed Abu Dhabi Police\u2019s Major Saad Ahmed Al Marzouqi <\/strong>(LinkedIn<\/a>) as a member <\/strong>of its International Cooperation Review Team<\/strong>, the Abu Dhabi Police said in a statement<\/a>. Al Marzouqi, who is the director of the international case requests branch at the criminal investigations directorate, is the first Emirati to join the intergovernmental body. In this role, he will help address deficiencies in countries' frameworks for combating financial crimes.<\/p>\n

First mission?<\/strong> Major Al Marzooqi will participate in an upcoming mission to assess the action plan of an unspecified African country.<\/span><\/p>\n
