Consumers can now file complaints against ins. companies and banks via the Central Bank\u2019s (CBUAE) new ombudsman unit,<\/strong>Sanadak<\/a><\/strong>, the CBUAE said in a statement<\/a>. Sanadak will take over consumer complaint handling from the CBUAE\u2019s Consumer Protection Department and Ins. Dispute Resolution Committee. The new unit aims to reduce the need of taking claims to court, the statement said.<\/p>\n

How it works:<\/strong> Consumers can submit their complaints via Sanadak's website or mobile application, while people with disabilities and senior citizens can also submit complaints through Sanadak Contact Centre, or in person at the Abu Dhabi office.<\/p>\n

Expediting the complaint process:<\/strong> Consumers were required to first lodge a complaint with their bank, and only after 30 calendar days or if they were dissatisfied with the outcome could they escalate the complaint to the CBUAE\u2019s Consumer Protection Department, The National<\/a> reports. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
