Asian markets are mixed this morning<\/strong> in what CNBC is calling \u201csubdued\u201d trading<\/a>. Australia, New Zealand, and Hong Kong remain closed for Boxing Day. Shares in Korea and Shanghai are flat at dispatch time. <\/p>\n

In the green: <\/strong>National International Holding Company (+14.9%), Al Salam Bank (+1.6%) and Tecom Group (+1.5%).<\/p>\n

In the red: <\/strong>Takaful Emarat (PSC) (-4.5%), Shuaa Capital (-2.4%) and Al Firdous Holdings (-1.4%). <\/p>\n

The ADX fell 0.1% yesterday<\/strong> on turnover of AED 885.87 mn. The index is down 7.1% YTD.<\/p>\n

CORPORATE ACTIONS-<\/p>\n

Buyback news: <\/strong>DFM trading Bahrain-based Al Salam Bank purchased 197.3k treasury shares on the Bahrain Bourse yesterday, raising its treasury share holdings to 49.9 mn, up from 49.7 mn, representing 1.9% of the issued share capital, according to a DFM disclosure<\/a>, yesterday. The bank\u2019s buyback program kicked off on 14 November, aiming to buy back 10% of its treasury shares.<\/p>\n
