Abu Dhabi released <\/strong>its low-carbon hydrogen production policy, setting out a framework enabling cooperation across the full green fuels value chain<\/strong>, Wam<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

Details are scant: <\/strong>The new policy aims to link up the low-carbon hydrogen, natural gas, and electricity sectors in a bid to boost clean power production and build \u201chydrogen oases\u201d in Abu Dhabi, Wam notes. The Supreme Council for Financial and Economic Affairs and the Energy Department will set the technical standards for the green hydrogen generation hubs across the Emirate.<\/p>\n

Not the same as the national green hydrogen strategy:<\/strong> Back in July, the government set a target<\/a> to produce 1.4 mn tons of hydrogen annually by 2031 before increasing its production capacity tenfold to between 14 and 22 mn tons by 2050.
