Funds will be used to expand Kitopi\u2019s portfolio of local brands across its five GCC markets. Currently it operates over 200 locations, and is pushing ahead with regional and international franchising plans. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>BACKGROUND- <\/strong>Kitopi has raised more than USD 800 mn across multiple rounds. It reached unicorn status in 2021 after closing a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kitopi.com\/post\/kitopi-announces-415-million-series-c-funding-round#:~:text=Kitopi%2C%20a%20managed%20cloud%20kitchen%20platform%2C%20announced,its%20restaurant%20partnerships%20*%20Build%20a%20team\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">USD 415 mn Series C round<\/a>, followed by a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wamda.com\/2022\/05\/kitopi-raises-300-series-c-round-extension\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">USD 300 mn Series C extension<\/a> in 2022.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\">\n<p class=\"tag-border-left\">NMDC expands its fleet + secures a new contract in Abu Dhabi<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Abu Dhabi\u2019s NMDC just signed an AED 618 mn agreement for an advanced<\/strong> <strong>self-propelled dredger<\/strong>, to add to its current 170-strong fleet, according to a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ent.news\/2026\/1\/1214.pdf\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">press release (pdf)<\/a>. The new dredger should be ready by 1Q 2027.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>A full plate:<\/strong> The move aims to help with the EPC and marine dredging group\u2019s growing backlog of projects, which reached <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/uae\/2025\/10\/31\/on-the-3q-earnings-menu-today-nmdc-group-alef-education-dfm\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">AED 62.3 bn<\/a> as of last September. This backlog is only getting larger, after it secured another contract from Abu Dhabi\u2019s Department of Municipalities and Transport for dredging and reclamation work in Rabdan, according to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ent.news\/2026\/1\/1211.pdf\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">a separate disclosure (pdf)<\/a>. The new contract is worth AED 157 mn, and NMDC expects to complete it in 4Q 2026. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\">\n<p class=\"tag-border-left\">DAE leases more aircraft to Morocco<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (<\/strong><strong>DAE<\/strong><strong>) will lease 13 new Boeing 737-8 aircraft to Moroccan <\/strong><strong>national carrier Royal Air Maroc<\/strong> (RAM), according to a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/dubaiaerospace.com\/2026\/01\/29\/dae-announces-long-term-lease-of-13-boeing-737-8-aircraft-to-royal-air-maroc\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a>. Delivery is slated for 2027, and comes as RAM aims to roll out nine <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/apanews.net\/royal-air-maroc-to-launch-nine-new-routes-by-2026\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">new international destinations<\/a> from Casablanca starting early April. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Aircraft are hot commodities currently<\/strong>, with Airbus and Boeing\u2019s total backlog standing at <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/uae\/2026\/01\/27\/this-morning-italian-president-lands-in-uae-today-xrg-raises-stake-in-rio-grande-lng-project\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">more than 11 years<\/a>. Currently, DAE owns, manages, and has orders for a total of 237 Boeing planes, with a wider total of 750 aircraft valued at USD 22 bn.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>The lease follows a previous agreement <\/strong><strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/uae\/2025\/06\/02\/dubais-bybit-sets-up-eu-hq-in-vienna\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">in June<\/a><\/strong><strong> by DAE leasing two Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft<\/strong> to the Moroccan airline.
