ADQ was formerly chaired by Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed, who also chairs AI investor MGX, the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, and IHC, though he\u2019s not named as being one of L\u2019Imad\u2019s board members. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Recent moves:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Abu Dhabi <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/uae\/2026\/01\/22\/this-morning-uae-bond-yields-spike-amid-global-bond-rout-abu-dhabis-limad-is-now-the-owner-of-mclaren-stake\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">folded<\/a> state-backed mobility investor Cyvn Holdings into L\u2019imad, consolidating stakes including McLaren Racing \u2014 valued at more than GBP 3 bn \u2014 and an 18% holding in Chinese EV firm Nio;<\/li>\n<li>L\u2019imad acquired a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/uae\/2025\/10\/31\/ihc-sells-modon-stake-closer-to-acquiring-stake-in-indias-sammaaan-capital\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">42.5% stake<\/a> in Modon Holding from International Holding Company and ADQ;<\/li>\n<li>It also emerged <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterpriseam.com\/uae\/2025\/12\/09\/this-morning-abu-dhabi-investor-backs-paramounts-hostile-bid-for-warner-bros-abu-dhabi-gets-fintech-insurance-digital-assets-cluster\/\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">in December<\/a> as one of the Gulf backers of Paramount\u2019s USD 108.4 bn bid for Warner Bros, alongside Saudi Arabia\u2019s Public Investment Fund and the Qatar Investment Authority.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\">\n<p class=\"tag-border-left\">Why it matters<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>The scale. <\/strong><strong>Taken together, the platform could ultimately oversee hundreds of bns of USD<\/strong>, with ADQ\u2019s USD 263 bn in assets under management prior to the consolidation, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2026-01-30\/abu-dhabi-to-consolidate-wealth-fund-adq-l-imad-assets\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Bloomberg<\/a> reports.
