The CfD \u2014 which is a private agreement between low-carbon electricity developers and the government-owned contractor \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/collections\/contracts-for-difference\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">locks in revenue<\/a> for 15 years under specific pricing terms, protecting companies from price volatility and allowing lenders to model a predictable cashflow.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 0;margin: 0;line-height: 1.15;text-align: left\"><strong>This comes just a few days after the UK\u2019s energy security and net zero state secretary <\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/doggerbanksouth.co.uk\/latest-news\/08-01-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">delayed consent<\/a><\/strong><strong> for the project\u2019s development<\/strong> until 30 April.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 0;margin: 0;line-height: 1.15;text-align: left\"><strong>About the project: <\/strong>The GBP 11 bn project has two 1.5 GW phases; DBS West is scheduled for 2031, and DBS East for 2032.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 0;margin: 0;line-height: 1.15;text-align: left\"><strong>Masdar also reached financial close on the USD 225 mn Guzar solar and battery storage project in Uzbekistan<\/strong>, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zawya.com\/ar\/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A8%D9%8A%D8%A7%D9%86%D8%A7%D8%AA-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B5%D8%AD%D9%81%D9%8A%D8%A9\/%D8%A8%D9%8A%D8%A7%D9%86%D8%A7%D8%AA-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B4%D8%B1%D9%83%D8%A7%D8%AA\/300-h4e2sxzs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a>.
