ADX opens an onshore lane to China tech and carbon<\/p>\n

The ADX has become the first exchange in the Arab world to cross-list <\/strong>US-domiciled <\/strong>ETFs<\/strong>, debuting specialist investment manager KraneShares\u2019 CSI China Internet ETF (KWEB) and Global Carbon Strategy ETF (KRBN), according to Abu Dhabi Media Office<\/a>. The move gives regional investors onshore access to China tech and global carbon markets during Gulf trading hours, with trades settled in AED through UAE brokers, while bringing nearly USD 10 bn in assets under management onto the exchange.<\/p>\n

KKR makes its first Gulf tech-growth wager from the UAE-<\/p>\n

KKR is starting to route its global tech and capital markets wagers<\/strong> through the UAE. <\/strong>The US private equity firm is leading a USD 220 mn strategic investment in Premialab \u2014 a Dubai-headquartered data and analytics platform focused on quantitative investment strategies \u2014 alongside existing investor Balderton, according to a statement<\/a>. The transaction marks KKR\u2019s first Gulf-region investment via its Next Generation Technology Growth platform.<\/p>\n

The move builds on KKR\u2019s steady expansion in the UAE. <\/strong>As we\u2019ve previously reported, the firm set up shop in ADGM<\/a> to strengthen its on-ground presence in the Gulf, and has been building regional teams<\/a> across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
